Fundamental and Advanced Techniques in Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is the second leading cosmetic procedure in the nation. This one day, 8.5 hour CME training course is designed to give participants a foundation of laser physics and how it applies to laser hair removal. Participants will learn and understand laser wavelengths and appropriate settings to reach proper treatment endpoints. We provide you with the safest laser practice and bring pearls gained with years of laser experience. The course begins with an interactive didactic session followed by a hands-on portion that allows time with actual laser hair removal devices.  Participants will leave our course empowered to consult and provide safe and effective laser hair removal treatments.

Course Content Includes:

The morning didactic will provide the necessary foundational education for healthcare providers to achieve better, more successful outcomes in the field of laser hair removal. 

  • Anatomy as it relates to hair growth
  • Differences in patients and skin typing, including the Fitzpatrick Skin Type Scale
  • Laser safety and laser physics
  • Differences in laser hair removal technologies and equipment
  • Achieving better patient outcomes and reducing adverse events

During the afternoon hands-on session, participants will evaluate one another and practice actual hands-on laser hair removal treatments under the guidance of the course instructor.  All laser hair removal devices and appropriate safety materials will be provided.
