It’s Fall… Time to Promote Chemical Peels!

We like to discuss the best treatments to promote during different seasons of the year. Now that fall is upon us, it is time to start thinking about the types of treatments and promotions you want to offer. One of those treatments that we like to promote in the fall months, going into winter, is Chemical Peels.

What are Chemical Peels?

There are a wide variety of chemical peels available on the market today, ranging from superficial to moderate to deep peels. During a peel, this skin is treated with a wounding or exfoliating agent which basically destroys the portions of the skin that it is applied to, encouraging the growth of new skin over time. The strength and makeup of the solution are dependent on the type of peel. Over the weeks following the procedure, the skin will peel and begin the process of creating new layers to replace the ones that have been destroyed. Chemical peels are often used to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, but they also enhance the texture and clarity of the skin as well as address pigment changes and mild sun damage.

There are a few reasons why fall is a great time to promote chemical peels:

  • A chemical peel can help with sun damage that occurs during the summer months. This, of course, makes fall a perfect time, considering it is directly after summer. Chemical peels can help get rid of the damage that you did to your skin over those months.
  • Fall is also the time when we start preparing for the holidays, a time when we get together with our friends and family. If you want to look your best, then a chemical peel can help. Having a treatment done now also gives you ample time to heal before the holidays. Especially if you are receiving a deep chemical peel, the downtime is a bit longer, so planning ahead is crucial.
  • After a chemical peel treatment, you want to avoid the sun as much as possible to avoid hyperpigmentation and color changes. It’s a little easier to avoid the sun in those fall months when UV levels are lower.

Fall months are a great time to promote chemical peels, and also offer any promotions or specials around them. For example, you could offer a series of 5 peels with $100 off, one peel every 2-4 weeks, which would take your patient through the fall and winter months, so when spring hits, their skin looks great.

In general, fall months are a great time to really promote any type of treatment as it’s before the holidays, and after those sun damaging summer months. Chemical peels are a great option for those patients looking to address fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and enhance the quality of their skin.
